History + Industry

ABOUT

Established in 2011 by designer Irene Wood, History+Industry was founded with the desire to translate ancient artifact to powerful contemporary jewelry. Wood’s background in painting informs the rich color and textural architecture of the bold, mixed-material statement pieces. Metals, semi-precious stones, plastic polymer clay and painted wood beads are either collected locally or created from scratch and hand-built in Wood’s Seattle studio.

You can find History+Industry jewels in museums and boutiques around the United States, some of them being The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The rooklyn Museum, The Art Institute of Chicago and The Frye Art Museum.
